well i would n't say i hate him but dizzie rascal is selling out prety quickly.Fair enough his flow sounded unique at first but now his lyrics just sound simple (imagine him going lyrically up aginst the likes of skinny or scorzayzee, it'd be comical!) and the less said about his production the better.Plus he's starting to give off a more than slight american-wannabe vibe, but i still give him rating for having a lot more energy and entusiasm than a lot of others on the scene.
As for Taz, its quite ironic that in one of tunes he says you need 'style, charisma and a lot of energy' as these seem to be the three things he just hasn't got. It's a shame we have n't got an equivlent word for rappers but if he was an actor he'd be perfectly described as wooden. Don't get me wrong he's alrite, just nothing to shout about.
people im feeling is more skinny+mud fam, taskforce, jehst (heavy as phuck!) and generally anyone on lowlife recs.
plus on a totally different style altogether, marga man whos been coming through recently is heavy.

i think with these two you're either fully on side or you completely hate them. I am of the latter im afraid Roscoe so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Hate's a strong word but Jehst and Task Force have bored me with their releases over the last few years.
GLC are beyond a joke. I'm not going to say I hate them because that would imply that they are a "UK act".
I don't think anyone else particularly bothers me, but there's plenty that I don't really like.

im not really feelin Vinyl Dialect either.
i know what you mean about Jehst and Taskforce, although ive got a recent(ish) tune Jehst did with Machael Parknson that's fucking heavy!!
ive still got love for Taskforce because theyve done some great tracks but they don't seem to be progressing much, just churning out the same stuff.

It's all been constructive so far mate, no bitching really. Is it not better to have reasonable discussion of good and bad rather than just bigging stuff up?

Yeah, it needs to be kept reasonable rather than just straight dissing. Keep it civilised chaps, and there won't be a problem.

I see where your coming from Fu, i do, but as a moderator i felt that the board was stale and peeps werent posting on here so i just wanted to post a few threads and try to get peeps on here talking about hiphop! the idea wasnt to just diss people (although i admit that is what i did) but i just wanted to get people talking on this board rather than just the dnb board. apologies to one and all, just trying to incite some chat!
peace.:D

Theres a few uk people who havent done anything for me of late (or ever):
taskforce, jehst, tommy evans, sundragon, braintax, rodney p....
i dont particularly dislike them, but as i say, they havent done anything i've wanted to buy for a long time now.

personally i think Braintax is the best producer in the UK hiphop game at the moment.
Old Rodders P has gon his album coming out so guess we'll have to wait and see how good that is.

i havent really heard much braintax lately, though i've been out of touch a bit with uk hip hop generally. The last i heard from him was some poor attempts at jiggified production for people like Mystro.
I think if i had to say who the best producer was in the uk at the moment, i'd go for Ty/Drew. Lewis Parker would be up there too for me, though he hasnt done anything lately either.
i like that new group Beyond There. They've done some decent stuff. Harry love too is always consistent, and seems to be getting better ("liquid love" and "live from london" are two very dope beats).
