following my headfones going in one ear and a needle breaking all in the space of a few days (gutted) i've been forced to make some new purchases!

Despite having my decks two years I never actually realised that the carts i had were so cheap n nasty that they're not even identifiable as any particular make. lol. Suprising they last so long really. Bit gutted that i was supplied sub standard stuff with my bran new 1210s thou....cheap skates!

Headphones are absolute quality thou makes such a difference and definitely not too extravagant for bedroom use, makes a big difference and i should have got myself some a long time ago.

Yep good headphones really can make the difference and are definately worth the money

I can't understand people who spend over 500 quid on a brand new mixer then don't have any decent headphones to go with it.

*cough* Rimardo *cough*

hmmm!

well it was between them and the senheissers. and i like the cable on one side, and i dont get on with the way the actual headphone on the senheissers twists round so freely and gets tangled up. Sound-wise i cant fault them but reckon they need an update, which they to the tune of 140quid lol.

I'l be trying the Sony MDR 700, new & improved version...I loved my original pair, but now i'm left with one headphone cup still attached to the wire...still works...but you can't beat them when there brand new. Either the Sony's or Technics, like Misdemeanors for when I eventually replace mine. I like the Senhessiers, quality sounding, but will drop of your head, at the slitist nod of your head...not ideal for me when i'm behind the decks..

@Jacqui - Those stylus are perfect believe me.

Everyone goes on about expensive stylus like concords etc when all you need are those one's.

They're what I have and I never have any problems whatsoever with them.

Good purchase!

Get a bigger head then you fool

I used to have the Sony's and they're shit hot, but I always found em to be a little loose and the Seinheisser alot tighter.

Be far easier to get headphones that wont start tangling, when ever I nod my head...ok there not that bad...but it's just hassle I don't need in the mix.

Well I've seen people buy expensive one's like concords and the needle part has been real sharp and it's cuts up records! (The pink scratch ones) so I'd just see how you get one with those !

was having this argument with Sykane the other day! never been a fan of the Sennheiser's. The Sony's suit my style of mixing down to the ground.

Can they not do cordless headphones that are suitable for mixing?
