Expressions Last Night!

pure madness as per..

i've got a massive gash in my hand though, i honestly thought some phucker had stabbed me! on reflection now sober it was probably just a sharp edge to something or over, me always being the drama queen when a drunkard.. now the important bit.

we arrived at about 9.30 to the rapturous sounds of stevie d and associate on the decks rolling out a fine mix of old and new beats.... the one they call mc trip master jay on the mic holding it down with an old skool stylee.. boh! the other mc [the black guy] i didn't really like due to his degrading lyrical content and his fascination with swearing an awful lot.

nicky c played a sweet little 30 min mix including a dub of his new thing which was pretty cool, although the alcohol hard started to take effect by then so i can't really remember it :)

trends.... ripped it.. set of the night

ss & twisted... were ok... some nice new bits coming out, plenty of rewind action.. mc sugars didn't do much for me... he seemed to want to be shabba... but a nice bloke all the same.. easty and sandman worked it well.. boh!

the last guy "sweetie" cleared the dance floor by playing loadsa tunes no one knew - genius....

the crowd were wicked, i love the bullingdon vibe... we had a few gremlins with the system, this shall be sorted with the introduction of a compressor and also a bit of rig tweaking!

roll on the next issue.. should be a riot!

no idea bro... it's not like he was a poor dj but the oxford people had nothing to relate to, an unknown dj playing unknown tunes kinda lead ballooned in my oppinion..

if only trends played last, that would have been awesome!

damn good night! agreed trends set of the night! and it was a bit of a come down on the last set. But still apprecated till the end. Kinda nice temprature and room to move about in the last hour.

But still would of liked twisted and ss go for two hours. or trends would have rocked it nicley!! respect to the crew. will see ya on the next one! unless another venue beckons! gota check my dates!

Was a good nite, Trends was wicked! I was disappointed with Twisted Individual & MC Sugars, was expecting them to be wicked...but sadly not! :( DJ SS was wicked, I thought that MC Coppa, Mankular & Sandman shone on the nite! B)
I didn't get there till the last half hour of trends, but enjoyed the rest of the nite anyways!
Shame the last DJ managed to kill it really, some good tunes, but at the wrong time/wrong crowd!
