Deprogrammed is a break from the norm; unfettered by fashion, religion or politics, Deprogrammed is about personal expression through the music that we make. The combination of strong friendship and mutual passion between the members of the company has developed Deprogrammed from a concept into a strong force in the underground music industry of the UK. Stepping away from mainstream culture, the founder members of Deprogrammed Productions have been making moves in the underground hip hop industry for the past three years, producing, releasing and promoting the successful EP from Blood & Jonez, called "Spare a little change...". Following the success of the debut EP Deprogrammed Productions are on the verge of releasing a nationwide collaboration album in preparation for the main release of the first album, which showcases the company's own artists. Through promoting a succesful product and working with respected artists in UK hip-hop on the compilation album, and still with no outside distribution deal, Deprogrammed have established recognition and respect from numerous media sources involved in UK hip hop.

Established in 2002 by producer Alex Blood, Deprogrammed Productions aim is to progress as a musical interface for poets and musicians alike, focusing on a shared direction towards producing honest, passionate expression through our chosen media. As contributers to the hip hop genre, Deprogrammed offer melodic production, forsaking sample-based beats to concentrate on original composition. This lends the music a greater level of artistic integrity and longevity by providing an extra dimension to the creativity employed in the production of our material. Fresh, honest lyrics complement the soulful instrumentation to form a solid, accessible product with a positive message to its listeners.




As a live act the Deprogrammed artists are energetic, entertaining and professional in their shows, putting thought into important aspects of a show such as track arrangement, delivery and stage presence. In the future we aim to incorporate more live instruments into our stage performance to heighten the atmosphere of communal enjoyment that is already created by our level of interaction with a live crowd.




The high level of energy and effort that is manifest in the work of Deprogrammed ensure a unique approach to contemporary music that is challenging, entertaining and refreshing. Our music is aimed at a broad audience, providing a variety of material that is cross-generically respected by an international fan base.
