Was thinking the other day that you must get so many hits on the site now plus considering how well it's done, is probably a very valuble part of the Oxford scene now.

I sure do mate - just taking a look at them actually. Here you go:

Hits:
Jan 2005 (so far) - 187,468
Dec 2004 - 628,356

Visits:
Jan 2005 (so far) - 3,352
Dec 2004 - 11,342

Averages:
Hits per hour - 844 (max 5,645)
Hits per day - 20,269 (max 41,104)
Visits per day - 365 (max 913)

So it's looking good! :)

Have you thought about making any proposals to businesses for advertisement considering the hits you get per day?

Maybe get the site sponsored by Sony or something and we can all have free PS2's?

Yeah there's an idea. It's not something I've rushed into though as I always just did it for a hobby and not to make money from. But if we did get some sponsorship/advertising deal it would help pay for bigger improvements and such like, and as you say the site now has scope to be worthwhile advertising on.

If I did do anything though, it wouldn't be any more prominent than the current banners are, and certainly no popups as they piss me right off!

Visits is the amount of unique computers so we're still averaging 365 unique computers visiting the site per day. Not a small number since there are a lot of computers that visit the site which are work/office computers that are behind one proxy and therefore will always show as 1 visit (as they'll show the same IP address). So the real figure is probably closer to 500 per day I would imagine.

Have you thought of doing radio aswell?

I know there's shit loads about but it's a piece of piss to set up and we could do it once a week or summin.
