Soundcards for PC's??

Anyone suggest any select soundcards for me to purchase?

I use a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 it works well for me and it was under 80 snots last year. But if you use your PC for making tunes speak to melodize as his is a BEAST!

aparently the emu 404 is the best cheapest sound card.
but ive never used 1

Its about 100 odd well it was at christmas time, i wanted it, but alas lack of funds :(

1) what will it be used for?
2) do you want it internal or external?
3) do you need a breakout box?
