Has anybody been to see this? What's it like and what's it about?
I know it involves alot of people whizzing around on rollerskates pretending to be trains, but thats about the extent of my knowledge.
I'm being taken to see this at the New Theatre on Tuesday, and a bit of background information and/or some reviews would be really helpful if anyone can help out.
Fanks!

I'm going to see this in a couple of weeks. I remember my mum went to see it when I was a kid and played the tapes loads. The songs just got stuck in my head.
Its about people on roller skates that are supposed to be trains. One train falls in love with carridge he can't have, or something like that.

Andrew Lloyd Webber must've been on something when he wrote that surely.
I'm glad you warned me about the plot, I probably would've gotten the giggles in the theatre otherwise.

it takes the metaphor about love being like two trains colliding a bit too literally.
