I think Arsenal need a serious re-evaluation at the end of the season. Wenger needs to take a really good look at the squad, there will definetly be alot of changes next season. They will be needed as well if we want to compete for anything. Reyes definetly will be gone along with Edu, Cole, Lungberg ect.....

Hopefully the injection of the extra £30m transfer money promised by Dein will help. Tho that'll mainly go on Shaun Wright-Phillips if we land him lol.
I reckon Edu, Pires, Reyes, Cygan and Lehmann [please God] will be all be off come the start of next season. I think Asher will stay if Wenger doubles his wages...

The title of this thread gave me disturbing visions of Stumasta competing with others over the size and angle of his semi

nah nah nah.........Pires won't leave, he'll be there until he retires same as Viera & Henry (definetly!!)
The ones to go will be Reyes to Madrid so hopefully we'll get are 17 million back. Edu to some random spanish club, we probably won't get shit for him. And I reckon over the summer there will be a big thing about Cole leaving, not sure about that one tho.
Before we start thinking about buying attacking players we got to think about our defence (fucking hell Mant it's shocking!!)
Would like to see us get a 1 Goalkeeper, 1 Central defender, 1 versatile defender & 1 creative midfielder.
I think we should have a large budget this season considering we havent spent that much and will probably have money from the Reyes deal.
Not forgetting Giberto and my man llike Sol shall shortly be returning the heart of our team IMO!!!

Totally agree with you Niki.
Buying players like Wright-Phillips is all well and good but tbh you desperately need to strengthen your squad in defensive areas.
If you get any money you have to spend it on a world class keeper & some cover at the back. I reckon Toure (sp) is good enough but not good enough to lead a defence like Campbell can.
IMO Wenger has done really well in the transfer market but he's had some howlers aswell. If he buys well in the summer with the little money that he has availiable then I think you'll be strong challengers for the title.

hmmm, I'm not actually sure what Wright-Phillips would bring to our team to be honest.
I think a new centre back is definetly in order tho, Campbell seems a little injury prone.
I agree with Wenger not buying big all the time but with Chelsea being the cheating cuunts they are i think we will need a couple of well established players signed in the summer.

Ashburton Grove's been like a millstone round the club's neck the last coupla years. It'll be a relief once it's been completed - then we should see some return on the investment...
