A CRAZED axeman hacked his victim’s head “as if it was a block of wood for a fire,” shocked witnesses said last night.

Yeah almost as dark as the psychiatric patient who killed twice after being admitted to hospital for bludgeoning a shop-assistant to death with a hammer.

This guy, Peter Bryan, apparently bashed his last victim over the head with a mallet 24 times before dismembering him with kitchen knives and eating his brain. According to the Guardian he 'fried Mr Cherry's brain using a tub of Clover and eaten some of it when police entered the blood-soaked flat.' And had told doctors 'that cannibalising human beings was like eating the forbidden fruit'. He admitted to psychiatrists that the "voodoo ritual" of eating human flesh gave him a "quickening" feeling, transferring energy from the people he killed.

I'm sure this will re-open the debate into the failures of the mental health regime in this country - eh, Jibba?

apparantly tho the victim of that axe attack thing had abused this bloke as a kid or somthing. so fair play i reckon, he probably needed a good axe to the skull

Yeah I saw this on the news yday..proper nasty cooking the mans brains and eating them!
I cant believe how leniant the hospital was on him after he killed first, he was allowed out everyday providing he came back every night!

I might have to write an essay thats what...you've pushed my buttons you sleag, and now I feel the need to rant about it for fucks sake...I didn't wanna do this :rolleyes:

People who are on section (which is essentially a restriction order to keep people in hospital) are ironically given leave if it is felt that they are not a threat to the public.

Obviously doctors make mistakes as proven here. You could say well they're only human - we all make mistakes, but with something this serious, Its better safe than sorry.

I get annoyed and frustrated by much lesser things like this that go on all the time at work eg patients being given overnight leave and bringing crack and booze back onto the ward because they don't get searched properly.

Then they kick off and cause hassle on the wards for all the staff and other patients.

The doctor who wrote up their leave is never here to see this and writes them up for leave again the next day; because they pop into the office for five minutes without asking about the patient in question. Once they write them up for leave the patient has every right to leave even if we don't think its a good idea. If there's no doctor about there's nothing we can legally do to stop them leaving.

Anyway I've probably bored you to death now so laters :D
