I'm looking to get a pair of speakers for my setup, what make/spec should I be looking at?

Looking for good quality sound...

Prepared to spend £100-£175

Whatever you buy, ask for a test-drive!

just make sure they're not using a £400 cdplayer with £150 speakers :D

i've heard good and bad things about the monitor ones. the good things are to do with the sound quality and the bad things to do with the fact that they don't go too loud and consequently are prone to blowing - it's happened to a few of my mates!

The bloke in digital village bristol said that he'd stopped selling them in his store because of the numbers of returns he had....

the yamahas as recommended in future music are supposed to be the bomb! and they're sub £200.

make sure you listen before you buy. if you're monitoring you're going to be listening to them a lot.

Basically I've got rid of the speakers I was using, they were about 8 years old LOL

I saw some tall standing Mission speakers in RicherSounds for about £120 which I'll probably get next week

I've spent too long mixing with a shit setup, this is why I got pissed off & stopped mixing over the past few months - time for good sound :D
