I've considered relaunching, with a little funding unlike before, but with a fair few of the boys here running parties at least monthly I don't think I can squeeze in anywhere... :)

And, to be honest, its nice to watch the others for a bit and do other things...

Better to have plenty on than not enough, from a punters perspective...
From a promoters point of view it should act as a motivator to keep everyone striving for the perfect event right?

I totally agree mate.

I did recognise the fact that Oxford is full of DnB nights. However, I feel the 2 nights we're offering over the summer offer quite interesting events, with quality artists and the door price is lower than other events with, in my opinion, weaker lineups.

We know it's a hard market to come into but we've got some amazing flyers (I havent managed 2 post it on here yet but the link is at the bottom of my original post) and will be going very hard on the promoting front.

Also, I reckon Ill be able to drag at least 50 of my mates down so that will fill it out a bit.

And to my knowledge, Mampi has performed in Oxford twice in the past year. Also, this is a 2 hour set with IC3, and we all know what a combo they are. We had them for 2 hrs in Bristol and it was amazing,

Also, this is Mampi's album launch party for Oxford which makes it a bit unique and means a lot of giveaways. When we did the Bristol launch, they brought at least 100 vinyl with them.

I don't mean to step on any other promoters toes, that's why we've announced it all so early. Just feel we can offer something a little different, and value for money!!

I actually didn't notice the date. Fairplay mate oxford needs something during the summer. All the promoters round here pussy out cos the students have gone home and it usually gets quite dry for dnb. Which is quite annoying to be honest because it's the best time of year!! why should us locals have to suffer.

Yeah Ive noticed this. The club manager was a bit funny about us having Mampi cos he would have played in Oxford just over 3 months before.

I know Bristol has a bigger scenes (altho not many more nights but bigger events) but Andy/Mampi/Eksman etc can be booked 2/3 times a month sometimes.

Having said that, the only time Mami has played in Bristol this year so far was Overload but thats a frakish thing to happen. He didnt show at a couple and other djs have been booked loads instead

I do know it's a thursday but was hoping that wouldnt be too much of a proble. So many people do shift work that it doesnt matter that much.........I hope!

We will be promoting it damn hard so hopefully should fill out.

And yeah the venue being free helps keep the price down, altho we are paying for the system. Generally tho, this is less of a money making scheme than some of the other nights and the emphasis is just on filling it out and having a fat ave

As I said we hosted his Bristol album launch also and I cannot stress how amazing his set was. When an amzing DJ like swift or Andy etc gets to play for 2 hrs it allows them to play a more varied set, which Mampi did. And with IC on the mic, u know everyonees gonna be hyped to the max.

And don't forget about our warmups....3 of the most talented artists in the local scene. And u can't complain about the price!!

People see a slick flyer, you kind of get the impression of the efforts that have been put into a night.
