You're reading my mind.

Although I think I might have had my drink spiked...I woke up with no memory of the journey home and to find my phone's been stolen :(

I really hope I've just lost it and somone's handed it in somewhere! You really don't realise how much you rely on soemthing like that till its gone!

If anyone knows about a SPV C500 please let me know. Cheers.

Still, I had a wicked time up until then!

Oh shit Jibba man that fucking sucks... I've had this twice in the last two months, the second time was my knackerd old Nokia which I got back, it did a few laps of Rail Station to Blackbird Leys and I still got it back...

Sorry that might be rubbing salt in, but what I'm saying is not everybody out their is a theif, although I often find it hard to believe these days...

Hope you get it back. I advise you to have the number blocked so nobody can pretend to be you, and do mischief..

Was a good night.

It was quite funny how the dancefloor was completely empty 5 minutes before Shy FX was on and then as soon as IC3 picks up the mic it was ramma.

^^^ I must be the ONLY person who can't id this tune. mission for tonite is get some audio

ANYWAY

How refreshing was shy's set. loved it, some wicked tunes, great rhythms, love 2hour sets it does make a difference. Thought IC3 was good, had to work the crowd a little, but he did his job well. Was well impressed to find the hold up on the stairs was IC3 posing for pics with random clubbers - nice to see artists taking time to chat!

jibba where were you all night? didnt see you once! hope you get your fone back man...

lol@ niki & jibba >> http://bestsmileys.com/drinking/2.gif

ps £12??? Way too much considering the system didnt hold up all night! When it was good it was good but needs to be like that all night...!

The whole “warm up” procedure if you think about it shouldn’t be needed. You get to a “club” and should be faced with a phat system rolling heavy tunes and get that for the whole night.

Was a quality night, after queing for ages, it was nnice to get in there! :) Shy FX was on with IC3 when we got there, the place was going off! :funk: A good set by Shy, he managed to slip in a bit of everything....was impressed as always by IC3 this is one MC, who knows how to get the crowd rocking! :D Heard the first bit of Reactions set, sounding good what I heard.

Didn't see many peeps off ere though, Big ups To Jibba (who was loving it, not sure he knew what day it was though ;) ), Chemical (Who couldn't believe he's eyes that I was there :P ), Jossy, Quiff, and Pink 'i'm gonna chat your girl up' Niki.

Overall a good night, looking forward to the next Source with Tactile & Digital! :funk:

i totally disagree, there is nothing worse than a warm up dj playing with the system on full blast. it is a joke.

Nothing like getting to a club and listening to a hifi sounding system for time, really gonna make people want to dance.

Suddenly the main dj comes, full blast everyone loves it, quick turn down, he/she’s gone and then people can start to leave with the sound back down again.

If it’s a club can you not expect to turn up and get a heavy system playing throughout? The warm up of people’s nights should be done at the pub stage or at home with afew drinks.

If a night was say open until around 6 the maybe or if like the cellar it’s open as a bar first then that’s fine, but with somewhere like the zodiac which only really opens for a small amount of time people I reckon probably feel like they miss out sometimes when they have to wait for the sound system to be turned up.

I Like heavy beats played at a decent volume otherwise is kind of gives quite a non existent atmosphere or makes the feel of the first part of a night quite dry really.

was a good night, shy and ic3 were rocking it when we arrived.....

discovered jibba drying his balls off in the gents :badteeth:

Crowd seemed well up for it....

A warm up dj should be there to warm up the party, thats there job, to slowly fill the dance floor, before the main event. If you have it going off too early, then people get knackered... as not everyone is a wreck head. The system doesnt have to be full wack, but does have to be heard!

Anyhow props to chemical, pinkus knickerless, manik, kelly, sas, jibba for his show, fu and anyone else I missed or didnt see!

from what i gather the system was plenty lous enough for the 1st hour or so and then rocked for shy.. it was still loud when rik and i were on so i'm rather confused?!?!?!?

Two things they need to sort out in the Zodiac

1) The Sound
2) The Mixer

Yeah, I agree mate.

I reckon you should maybe have a word to the early DJ's at In:Motion about this kind of thing.

Anthem bashing, double dropping and 100000 mph mc'ing at 9.30pm isn't necessary when the party is set to run for another four and a half hours. It should be a progressional thing...

yeah the mic will be locked away until the real ones turn up,

and lockie and freeze know the score... freeze likes to play his rolling jungle from 96-99 which people are loving in banbury. Maybe you could show em the way at rider night?

12 quid for Shy FX & IC3??

Jeeez

A good warm up set can make or break a night.

In my opinion it's the most important set, coz it can set the tone.

Warming up for Fabio would have nothing to do with this comment :badteeth:

Anyway...

:o - me!

Reaction - lies all lies! Drying my bollox in the toilets! I had drink splashed on my trousers so was getting rid of that...tsk! :D

@Misdemeanor, yeah I looked out for you after I met with Vyper, but like he said I was pretty battered so can't remember much.

Still i'm a bit worried that I suddenly seemed to get so out of it and then woke up with no phone. Fuck it though...no point dwelling on shit I can't even remember :badteeth:

Was to the left of the stage (looking on). System definitely patchy and a bit of piss-take considering the £12 ticket.

Shy very good as usual. IC3 good crowd hyper tho' not my taste.

this is exactly the reason why i don't bother going to source anymore + £12 for one a-list dj is extortionate!

don't give me any of this shy costs x amount bollox either.

the zodiac upstairs holds 500 people. assuming it was at least half full that's 250 x 12. that's three grand.

the club takes some of that and it can't even be bothered to fix up the system which has been shite since i started going to source regularly from about 97 onwards.

fix up or shut up.

the system is turbosound, it's fine, i've heard it drop like hell, i honestly think that the issue lies with the sound engineer. also the venue has to turn it down at 2am as part of it's late licence agreement.

anyhows folks, i think it will be sorted once the expansion happens.

Well as you lot think door price is such an issue, I take it you'll all come to Overload as it's only £6?

Also, what happened to Hype tghen and did anyone get an Overload flyer??
