MP3's and a free Pendulum tune!

Here's the link to DOA's new MP3 shop.

If you sign up you get a free Pendulum tune on MP3 (I've got it and it ain't half bad....a bit cheesy though IMO).

What do you lot think about this new wave of selling MP3's online?

Will it help keep the scene alive by preventing illegal downloads or will it damage the scene by preventing vinyl sales by increasing the use of CD's? Is that really a bad thing?

I'm thinkin these new mp3 shops are gonna kill off vinyl eventually, doesn't it just make it easier for people to pass around tunes to people for free?

If a kid d/l a track for a couple of quid then he'll just pass it on to all off his mates for free surely?

people rip from vinyl and make into a mp3 and pass it on anyway.

there is a market for this and it will only grow.


i reckon its a good thing.........so many sides of the argument though.

I'm sure there's people on here who didn't know about this.

I knew Chemical Records were doin it but not DOA.

The DNB big boys need another summit meeting to discuss the future of the scene I reckon :badteeth:

I'm undecided bout the whole MP3 thing.....I think i'd only consider downloading tunes via such place as DOA, if it's summat that I can't get on Vinyl.

I fear that Vinyl, will eventually die out, with technology advancing as much as it is. If producers want to sell more vinyl, they need to think bout the way they put there tune out. They have to think if putting there tracks as MP3 downloads will help them or not...

I think the MP3 Downloads that you can get at the moment, is all a get out clause...to get round the fact that peeps share tracks...this will still happen though.. I don't know too much about it all...so I guess time will tell....
