My friend has just realised her passport ran out in 2003, and shes flying to Greece with us on thurs night.

I think shes gonna have to go to London Embassy. Do u think it'll be too late or should she be able to sort it?

I know this probably isn't much help but i'd just probably give them a call, I think in certain circumstances they can fast track the process...

Yes they can do it, but as has wisely been said, ring up and find out what's what! She'll probably have to go and do it tomoz depending on how long it takes and what time your flight is thursday.

I remember years back a friend making the same mistake. He had to go to london for 8am with his old passport and tickets, but came home with uptodate passport ready to fly the next day.

Where abouts in Greece are you going? its been my holiday destination for five years running now!

Apparently the next appt is monday morning!
But they have 40 emergency appts a day, so shes gonna go down there tomorrow and hopefully sort it.
Cant believe she forgot about that though!

Going to Zante for 2 weeks. Cant wait, in desperate need of a holiday i think.Went to kos last year which was wicked.

Where abouts in Greece do u go?

I've not been many places actually, first place I went was poros and loved it so much I went for another three years running before i was brave enough to try somewhere else (based on theory of if it's not broke don't fix it!) Last year I went to Spetses and this year it's Naxos.
Kos & Zante look lush but i'm afraid of ibizan style tourists ruining my hols so only go independantly!
You'll have to let me know what it's like because zante looks gorgeous. ha.. just googled it. lucky thing, check this place out wont ya..!

I've been to Zante, it was wicked, not as commercial as some of the other Greek islands

That bay with the ship on the beach is awesome, you can only get to it by boat and its nice and chilled, good for scuba diving too

Think most passports are valid for 3 or 5 years.

The area we are going to in Zante is quite commercial etc, loads of bars clubs etc. I think. Someone said its meant to be the up and coming Faliraki, which I hope not though :ban:

Cant wait, 2 weeks off work! :hyper:
That pic does look lush, its the same pic thats in all the brochures!

Yup, what I was about to say. My current passport I got on the morning of the day I was due to fly to the States. It's certainly possible but definitely ring to find out the easiest way. I wouldn't recommend the same-day-experience. Damn stressful.
