This is exactly what I was gunna write.

Big up Hussla you do alot of good work for the night only for shit like this to happen.

If Kinetic sorted itself out then it could be the biggest night in oxford, at least for the time being anyway.

With shit like this happening it reflects badly on the night and the people involved in it.

I haven't had alot of experience running a night but in my small experience I would say that running a night is as easy as you make it.

If you're organised things will run as smoothly. Of course things always happen to fuck you about but they Kinetic seem to get some of the most basic things wrong. i.e set times and door prices changing from those advertised

I thought changing the door prices was a really poor thing to do, especially when advertised it didnt say anything about getting there before a certain time.

If I had of known it was gonna cost more than a fiver I wouldnt of gone. I felt well bad as I had persuaded a couple of mates to come as it 'only costs a fiver' who dont particularly like drum n bass.

Why bother in that case? Kinetic must make plenty - raising the ladies door price from £5 to £8 only confirms this. For Hussla not to get a small amount as a token of appreciation for his promotion efforts is a fucking insult.

Although I might not act like it on here I do actually have alot of respect for Hussla coz he works fucking hard for his night.

He's a proper nice bloke and doesn't deserve to be treated in the way he often is by the kinetic promoters.

I do actually think it's nice to be paid, even just a token amount as a way of saying thank you.

just getting on teh decks and having some DJ you don't know telling you you're going b2b with him was the last straw after having teh system turned down, after waiting around for time etc.

i get paid jack shit apart from once when i played between brockie & swift and i got £20 i think. not bad but when i know full well other local DJ's come down and get paid, nicky, trends & i know who the person is and it's not like the dj's don't talk at all. really makes you feel like nothing when this happens, you put in loads of effort as teh residents for someone else to come down and get paid £40 or something while we're on teh line ups every month thinking what the fuck.

Having seen the line ups for October, November, December I suppose this is where a lot of the frustration comes from.

They could be some of Oxford’s biggest nights however they just need to have that little extra put into them to make them the nights they should be ie flyers etc bu I can just see them not being what they can be after Saturday and seeing how unorganised and a mess things are in.

Not my job to fix up bt have been trying to help for time and don’t wanna see the night fall.
