With so many up & coming MC's breaking through these days, I was wondering who peeps like in their local scene!

I rate highly Manikular (& no mate i'm not after anything for saying you! :D), think this guy is gonna go far. Also the Young Shuffla, I think Shuffla has what it takes to make it in the world of MC's, alway's on form when I hear him/

What do you think???

2. Manikular
3. Liebo
4. Shuffla
5. Liberty
6. Sandman
7. MJ
8. Playa J

As each MC develops I keep changing my mind on who I rank highest as a professional. This is the current order I rate the locals. [There are some locals I've not got to hear yet so they don't feature in this list!]

it should all be about the tunes in my opinion

im sick of these cunts that are like "oooohhhh skibba dee's a phucking bad boy"

no.. no he's not... he's shit

mc's are too predictable for my liking, you listen to an mc for a few hours and after a while you can finish their sentances for them!

all the old skool mc's (skibba, shabba, det, foxy, fatman etc etc...) are a total pile of wank if you ask me. they'ver been rinsin the same lyrics for the last god knows how many yrs...

yea it takes a certain degree of skill or whatever... but phuck it, im havin a rant!

if you want some respect for being in the scene then they should learn to phuckin mix or produce, not just shout their mouths off about a load of bollox that dont make sence, and they only say it cos it (vaugely) rhymes

if i had the choice id go to raves with no mcs at all

mate.. you need to go to some different events....

i agree.. all the mcs you listed are not my fave mcs... do me a favour and start checking the likes of cleveland and mc sp.. you won't be able to finish their rhymes for shit.. they really are next level who know how to compliment a set.. i think you know me well enough to know i hate most mcs too, why? becuase only a few have their own style and flow...

mcs can bring something to a rave that tunes alone can't do... but on the other side, mcs can really spoil events too..

seeing more mcs on a line up than djs is a phucking joke... all this back 2 back malarky isn't really my thing... 1 dj, 1 mc that's how it should be... it's all about creating a vibe..

i think you should really consider coming up to nottingham with me on the 6th june.. maybe stamina and i can change your mind about mcs :]

its not lke it's really that

dark tho.. alot of it is just brash and badly produced... i love alot of the original tramen

and reese stuff, such as early trace and even earlier tango & ratty.... i could do you a mix

of 1993 basement/fibreoptic stuff that is really dark... mad minor chord progressions and

stuff like that... i think the new teebee and arQer stuff is runnin' too..
