My ears have started ringing recently so I have decided after months of faffing around and putting it off I am going to have to get some ear plugs fitted
What are the best links?
Fu / Chemical where did you have to go to get yours done?

the customs are about £140-£160+vat
you can get some temp ones, which are known as er-20s.. they work pretty well and are about £15-£20 you can get them from that cool music instrument shop at the very bottom of cowley road.

Sounds like a real good idea... but how much outside noise does it stop you from hearing, could you still have a conversation with them in? is it purely to block out the dangerous frequencies or summink?

Yeah bascially they just block out the nastyness, you can still chat with them in
They do take a wee bit of getting used to though aparently

Hmmmm... might possibly consider gettin some in the future, not now though, wot with being a student n all (ie totally broke). But will this affect mixing though? do any of u guys, fu and co., do ur sets with them in?

surprisingly a lot of A list don't wear em, all I can say is that if you play out then get some er15s, u can't afford not too. if u just go out then boots sell ear plugs, just get some off them, u can hear the music and u won't lose ur hearing!
i've had tinnitus for 2 yrs and its still ringing, if u can avoid it now then do so, it can happen at anytime so get plugged up!!!
tinnitus - it's not the 1 - trust.
my 2cs anyway

I 50% of my hearing in my left ear after being in an accident, can cope with it but it gets annoying at times
You don't want to loose your hearing...
I don't go out that much now so not really too worried about gettin ear plugs, if I went out more I deffo would tho

Acoustic neuromas (benign tumour of the auditory nerve)
Menière disease (dizzy spells accompanied by a decrease in hearing)
Cardiac and circulatory problems
Metabolic diseases
Kidney problems
Hormonal disorders
Ossification of the third auditory ossicle path in the inner ear (otosclerosis)
Chronic middle otitis
Intoxications, especially from medication
Cerebral traumas, central nervous system diseases
Anaesthesia, particularly those in the spinal cord

Tempted - but it looks like you wouldn't be able to wear them while DJing? Which is the main reason i'd want them...

wouldnt be able to wear them for djing, thou never tried in all honesty . need custom ones for that...
but worth a tenner for when you're on the dancefloor imo :cool:

I don't go out enough these days to warrant it really :(
