BAGLEYS TO CLOSE!

You may have heard the rumours, we can now confirm the truth. Bagleys has been sold to a new company who will be developing the site into a multi-faceted arts and music centre in the Autumn of this year.

We can confirm that United Dance will be the last party EVER at this venue by ANY promoter. The date of this most final of all parties is Saturday June 14th 2003.

This is truly the end of an era as the doors close on the longest running rave venue in history for the last time. Love it or loathe it, some of the greatest names in London clubland have earnt their reputations at Bagleys, from the legendary Mud Club, through to Double Dipped, Labrynth, Freedom, our own Slammin' Vinyl, Frantic, One Nation, Pure Silk, Garage Nation, Moondance... the list goes on an on.

Bagleys has always been about the music, the people and the atmosphere. It has never claimed to have the best sound systems, the best light shows or the most elaborate decor but it has always offered a raw experience a million miles away from the highly-commercialised world of 21st Century clubbing. No posers, no trendies, just banging underground music playing to a massive crowd of people who love it!

Bagleys has been the home of United Dance since 1999 and it is with great sadness and pride that UD present our 15th and final event here. For one more time we will be bringing you the finest line up of DJ's and MC's as we bid farewell to this historic venue.

Early ticket purchase is strongly advised due to the unique nature of this event.

I had a wicked time when I went to Bagley's ? ! The bouncers as I remember weren't nice at all but the night was dark as french connection.

been there a couple of times. first time in 98 and i was the oldest person there!

really dislike the place. Ive been to house parties better organised - and the front room been bigger than most of the roomsin bagleys lol

I was just 18 when I went ! What do you think of the Sanctuary ? That's the only other place I have really been too ! About 6 times !

I went to Bagley's 3 0r 4 times, I had good nights there, but the staff in securirt was wank in there, and buoy did it get hot in there!!! Bad Company played the shittest set ive heard them play...no surprise there! :)

Shame they couldn't sort it out in there, coz I did like it there!

RE: The sanctuary, been there a fair few times, some quality nights! :) The last time I went there, was Accelerated Culture Drum&Bass Awards...heavy nite, wicked tunes, apart from Brockie...*yawn*..:D Some rude boy kid trying to start on me...*very laughable*...I left him to his tantrams!!! Otherwise a quality nite.

If anyone has the pack, check Zinc's tape and listen for a "Happy Birthday Shout out to the Method Crew" which was wicked to hear from the man himself - Fearless !!

Been on DnB Arena and been checking Zee's pics from Amsterdam ! They look pretty good but I wasn't expecteing to see you and Vyper on the pics as well ! !

@Vyper - Not suprising that Broxckie's set was poor ! ! :lol: An ongoing joke if you ask me at how he still gets sets ! Think I have that pack actually ? ! :huh:

My raving history spands about a year or two and that's it ! Kind of been a bit tame recently that's why I need to get my arse in gear again !

Zee PM'd me on DnB Arena and said he is up for MCing in Oxford as long as he's given a slot somewhere he'll come down. Could be interesting ? !

Yeah Yeah, Amsterdam was quality, meet up with some Zee & Co from D&B Arena, had a wicked smoke a heaven weekend!!! Definately recommend Amsterdam to evryone who like a toke, even those that don't! :D

Yeah, you know what I mean bout Brockie, it surprise's me, he get's booked so often, alot of peeps seem to think the world of him though!?.. :wacko: lol

He's playing in Oxford next month aswell....Can't wait! :D

Yeah Zee's a wicked MC, we'll be getting him onboard for Compound, when we start up again! If your planning any event's Hussla get him down ! :)

You can see how some people would liek his sets though ! Sometimes I wish I had an untrained ear and wouold like all DJ sets but you find yourself being really choosy !

I'm up for going to see Brockie ! I'd love to have a set after him ! I can almost definately say I'd anialate him ! I wouldn't say that about Swift or someone for example ! !

I don't think I'm gonna even try to get a night going in Oxford at the minute ! ! Too much competition etc ! And hasse by the sounds of it ! !

The only thing I may be doing is something on my 21st which will be 8th Nov so that's a bit of time yet ! ! ;)
