thought id separate the good ones from the shit films thread..

Recently seen http://adorocinema.cidadeinternet.com.br/filmes/team-america/team-america-poster02.jpg

by the south park guys. All about the americans wrecking cairo & paris in search of the terrorists. And the puppets getting it on lol.

also banlieu 13 - directed by luc besson. Starts off with 20kilos of white powder being washed down the bath (with some bleach to boot) and then this amazing parkour escape (check the link)

http://www.hedonistica.com/media.php?path=/videos/amazing_escape.wmv

Also saw The descent - wasn't overly impressed mainly because it's the second caving film i've seen recently and both really similar.

Also Buffalo Soldiers

http://www.publispain.com/posters/buffalo_soldiers.jpg

Nice dark comedy about US soldiers posted in W.germany with way too much time on their hands, getting high in tanks and flattening things, big drug factories, selling weapons to german arms dealers. This film is actually pretty funny and nothing to do with wars or anything like that. go see =)

last night watched Mysterious Skin

it was really good but it was about this boy who got abused when he was a kid and when he grew up he decided to be a rent boy - was a bit graphic in places i.e. showed bits of him being abused and lots of gay sex but i thought it was good nonetheless

some big films mentioned!!

Personally Requiem for a Dream and American are in my top 5 all time films!

Buffalo Soldiers is very good too.

Check Rules of Attraction, which is pretty awesome!
Van der Dawson Beek is suprisingly good in this!

also, saw new Brit horror flick The Descent and thought it was wicked! Quite scary, good acting, good ending. Noice

didnt rate The Hole that much ...

Though if you want disturbing, check The Jacket. Fancy being locked up for something you didnt do, then experimented on? Fancy being drugged and left in a straight jacket in the refridgerated section of the morgue so you trip out into the future? freakyshit.

also

The adverts for that look gash beyond belief.

Watched the decent last night and thought it was good. Quite tense the whole way through with a genorous helping of gore.
